Take a Look: DCE MRI Perfusion

In our new series “Take a Look” we give you an exclusive insight into some of our most used and highly rated modules. Last month, we showcased our “CT Calcium Scoring” module and this month we are back showcasing “DCE MRI Perfusion”.

DCE-MRI-250x250

Our DCE-MRI Perfusion module allows doctors to use online image analysis software to correctly measure the uptake in vivo it also helps doctors evaluate brain tumors and strokes in patients by relying on image analysis methods that allows them to analyse data easily. Our DCE MRI Perfusion is simply better than the competition.

  • Faster. DCE MRI Perfusion retains the same unique core design that is common through the Biotronics3D suite by making optimum use of your hardware’s memory and computer resources delivering quick rendering of image volumes.
  • Stress-Free. DCE MRI Perfusion’s deliberate design is made to encompass your needs, according to your profiles and regardless of your expertise, so that you get a fully featured or basic interface.
  • Better. DCE MRI Perfusion permits in depth quantitative functional analysis, enhancing structures to enable an accurate assessment of the response to therapy.

Our DCE MRI Perfusion module has many features that you just can’t get anywhere else.. So why try?

  • Advanced MPR. Interactive Multi-planar & double oblique reconstructions, MinIP, AvIP, MIP plus numerous view layouts supporting 2D, 3D or a combination of both.
  • DCE MRI Analysis. Reliable DCE MRI analysis clinically validated by the institute of Cancer Research UK, and the Royal Marsden Hospital, London, UK.
  • Custom Models. In addition to our default state-of-the-art Pharmacokinetics models, you can specify to have your own model or input function to be seamlessly implemented in the application.

DMC Imaging is the UK’s leading remote Teleradiology Company. DMC are also the first UK Teleradiology company to embrace light touch secure technologies they also have over 30 UK based leading FRCR accredited sub-specialists Consultant Radiologists.  DMC’s reporting Radiologists will operate from 3 locations: HQ Reporting Hub; Regionals Hub’s; Home. Recently DMC have formed a working partnership with the British Institute of Radiology due to their expertise.  DMC began to use the ground-breaking 3Dnet Public Cloud in 2013 and in 2014 they switched from the public cloud model to the exclusive private cloud model. Prior to this DMC Imaging were a medical firm that specialised in radiology, but in 2013 they decided to finish this practice and started on the Teleradiology path.

DMC Imaging now utilise the 3Dnet Private Cloud to receive HL7 images from RIS/PACS from their wide network of Private Clinics and NHS.  The RIS/PACS integration allows studies acquired at any of the NHS & Private Clinics to be automatically distributed to their network of specialist radiologists. Specialist radiologists receive a notification then log in from anyone of the 3 locations through 3dnetmedical.com and not have to worry about any software. Once a report is generated in the system, it is automatically sent back to their NHS and Private network’s RIS/PACS.

We’ve worked closely with DMC Imaging to help automate and make reporting more efficient. We built a partnership with Nuance so that our clients could use the voice recognition tool Dragon.  We’ve also incorporated many of their suggestions to enhance our platform.

Sorry for the delay, New update, New office!

Dear 3dnet Aficionado,

I would like to apologise for the delay on this month’s newsletter. Our CEO is currently on business abroad and we have just moved to a brand new office in Crossharbour last week! So we have had a few minor internet problems, alongside having to pack up the old office and unpack all of our equipment, furniture etc. in the new office. Our new office is in the Greenwich View Estate, which means we are right on the water. We get some great views here! Whether it’s looking over the water from our balcony, looking across Canary Wharf at One Canada Square or looking west to the City and seeing the Shard and the Gherkin from our floors terrace garden. At some point this week we will be looking to upload some photos of our new office and some of the views to our social media accounts, so keep an eye out for them.

Within the next couple of months we have some very interesting updates coming on 3dnet with the introduction of a brand new HTML 5 Diagnostic Portal. Therefore allowing users to use the majority of web browsers including Google Chrome! The update will allow our application to run via JavaScript instead of Silverlight, which was no longer supported on Chrome. I can only give brief details for now and there is no official release date, but we are looking to launch this update within the next couple of months! Hopefully I will be able to give you more information in the next newsletter.

Take a Look: CT Calcium Scoring

Take a Look: CT Calcium Scoring

In our new series “Take a Look” we give you an exclusive insight into some of our most used and highly rated modules. Last month, we showcased our “CT Colonography” and this week we are back showcasing “CT Calcium Scoring”.

CT-CS

Our “CT Calcium Scoring” module gives the clinician the ability to use the results from a CT scan to automatically detect any early signs of heart disease. “CT Calcium Scoring” provides an accurate measure of calcium on the arteries through a CT scanner. Our “CT Calcium Scoring” module provides thorough quantitative calcium scoring reports with volume, Max HU, Av HU. Also plaque data is being generated for each artery along with a graphical representation of the risk factor associated with the score for the patient, according to their gender and age. Impressive. The dominance of our “CT Calcium Scoring” is due to three main reasons:

  • 3Dnet™ has a unique core design that optimizes memory and computer resource utilization allowing for extremely quick rendering of the largest study volumes, permitting rapid assessments and reporting.
  • 3Dnet™ Calcium Scoring is designed to adapt to the needs and demands of all physicians with a dedicated workflow, screen layout and additional measurement and annotation features all managed through your easy-to-use interface.
  • Your 3Dnet™ Calcium Scoring clinical application runs on standard “off-the-shelf” hardware and is seamlessly integrated into any RIS/PACS setting.

Like all of our modules 3Dnet™ Calcium Scoring also has the study comparison mode allowing users the ability to compare prior studies with current studies to determine even the most subtle changes in pathology or composition over time.

Meet the Team – Senior Systems Architect

This month we will be introducing you to our Senior Systems Architect – Atif Bajwa!

03549a4

The comical genius of Biotronics3D, you may as well call him Aziz Ansari (stand-up comedian). Atif is extremely interested in space exploration and often babbles on about planets and new stars. Atif enjoys QI and long walks on the beach… Quite Interesting. Pardon the pun. After a decade of experience in the business and almost a decade at Biotronics3D, Atif is still in love with his first love, system architecture . Atif is also very much in love with his wife of 5 years, Maria, but nothing quite compares to his first love. Originally from Pakistan, Atif is very well decorated after attending a number of universities. Between ‘95 & ‘97 Atif attended Government College University, Lahore. He came out with an FSc in Pre Engineering . By 2007 he had a BS in Computer Science, an MBA in Executive Program & in 2004 he was awarded the “best documented code award”. Impressive. Don’t just take my word for it, find out more here!
